Read all of Becca Gladden's articles hereThere aren't any points on the line this Saturday in the Sprint Cup All-Star Race, but don't think for a moment that drivers won't be hammer down all night at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
A little carrot in the form of a $1,012,975 check will be dangling in front of the boys at the finish line, pushing them to make moves and take chances that they probably wouldn't take in a normal points-paying event.
For fans, one of the most challenging parts of the All-Star Challenge is understanding the eligibility rules. Without getting too bogged down in details, drivers can make the All-Star field by meeting one of the following criteria (courtesy of Jayski.com):
